残像 - Zanzō

40cm x 50cm
Charcoal, Conte and Graphite on Paper
2026

残像 - Zanzō examines the unstable boundary between presence and disappearance. One side of the portrait is precisely rendered while the other breaks into erased graphite, interrupted contours and exposed paper. Zanzō means “afterimage”: a visual trace that remains after its source has disappeared.
